Histograms

When we measure things (caller waiting time, claims processed per day), we always find that variation becomes an important feature.

A histogram is a simple means of displaying this variation. It shows the frequency (or distribution) of the items being measured.

Key points to look for are where the centre of the curve is, how broad the spread is, and how peaked the curve is.
